Video Series: “He’s Still Got the Whole World in His Hands.” 3 Part Video/Study by Andy Stanley from North Point Church Held after worship from 11:30-12:30 on October 21, October 28, and November 4. How do we remain hopeful in a world that seems hopelessly broken? How do we continue to trust a God that seems conspicuously absent? How do we find peace in a world that is spinning out of control? If you’ve ever asked questions like these, you’re not alone . . . and you’re not the first. Uncertainty is nothing new. And the uncertainty we face today is no different from the uncertainty faced by the men and women of the Bible. And like them, we are left to question God’s faithfulness, his presence, his concern. In this 3-part series, we’re reminded that . . . He’s Still Got the Whole World in His Hands. You may attend just one session, but attendance at all three is highly recommended! Friends from the community are encouraged and welcome!

Welcome to another beautiful day in paradise. Look with the eyes of your soul and see the beauty in others and you will see you are in paradise.–John Fire Lame Deer, LAKOTA
We all come from one Great Spirit but we are all different and unique. Nothing in the Great Creation has a twin that is identical. Even children that are twins are different. Every single person is extremely special and unique. Each person has a purpose and reason why they are on the Earth. Just like every leaf on a tree is different, each one is needed to make the tree look like it does. No leaf is better or worse than the other—all leaves are of equal worth and belong on the tree. It is the same with human beings. We each belong here and do things that will affect the great whole.

WORKERS’ COMPENSATION AND CERTAIN DISABILITY PAYMENTS MAY AFFECT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS
By Erin Thompson
Social Security Public Affairs Specialist in Toledo, OH
Many people working nowadays have more than one job, so it’s not uncommon for them to have several sources of income. Owning multiple small businesses, seasonal jobs, and the gig economy adds to the mix — and complexity — of our modern day economy. It’s important to keep in mind that having multiple sources of income can sometimes affect your Social Security benefits.
Disability payments from private sources, such as private pensions or insurance benefits, don’t affect your Social Security disability benefits. Workers’ compensation and other public disability benefits, however, may reduce your Social Security benefits. Workers’ compensation benefits are paid to a worker because of a job-related injury or illness. These benefits may be paid by federal or state workers’ compensation agencies, employers, or by insurance companies on behalf of employers. Continue reading
Welcome to another beautiful day in the neighborhood. Thanks for being my neighbor and making our neighborhood beautiful. Some would have us believe that human nature has changed from its original state and is now inclined to evil, sin, and death. These consequences lead to a spiritual battle; a battle between the body and the soul; a struggle to do what is right and a belief that our basic instinct is survival.
