February 14 Worship:
God speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. –
Psalm 50
Sermon: “The One is Shining Forth”
The Psalm that comes at the end of our series speaks of an
active God whose light shines for all time and in all places. God is
not silent, but calls the people to remember that they, too, can act
on God’s behalf, holding all suffering peoples in the hands of
prayer and care and transforming the world that will shine bright
into the future. May it be so.

February 17: Worship: Ash Wednesday
Sermon: “The City of Jerusalem”
We begin our Lenten journey together on Ash
Wednesday. But before we are able to walk the road with our
Lord, we must first face the challenges and discomfort of
looking within – to find those broken places in our souls and
lives that must first be exposed to the light of Christ, before
healing can happen.

Women’s Bible Study: “Lose Control” taught by Hayley Studer Mondays at 7:00 p.m. For 6 weeks Begins February 8th
Have you ever thought you had life under control―until you didn’t? Perhaps thinking “God is in control” but living as if you are. It’s like walking around with a hot cup of coffee, afraid that with one wrong move it will spill and be a burning hot mess. Then you realize what little control you have and how dependent on God you truly are. In Lose Control, Mary Shannon Hoffpauir takes you on a six-week journey through the Book of First Samuel, which is an epic story about a fight for control. Despite God’s warnings through the prophet Samuel, the nation of Israel was determined to take control by having their own king. As you dig into the saga of King Saul and David, who would become the next anointed king of Israel, you will discover that no plan or purpose of God can be thwarted by human beings. Even the worst of circumstances can be used by God to accomplish His purposes in your life.
