The Rose Procession On January 20, we will recognize as a parish the 46th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision. The traditional Rose Procession, in which participants representing the last 46 years will process with a rose and place it at the altar, will be at the 9:30 Mass. At all the other Masses, there will be a special blessing. Please consider having members of your family participate in the procession. We need participants between the ages of 1-46. Contact Ellen Breininger at emb14@bex.net if you can participate. Please pray earnestly at these liturgies for protection of the lives of the unborn as well as for the women and men whose lives have been personally and deeply affected by abortion. May they feel the healing power of His unconditional love, through our prayer. May we seek always to see through the eyes of Christ.

A Mid-Winter Retreat weekend for Women and Men will be held February 8-10, 2019. The theme of the retreat will be “Incarnation – The Mystery of God’s all-Embracing Love.” Every year we celebrate this mystery at Christmas, but often we miss so much of its significance, sometimes because we get too caught up in the commercialism of the season, and sometimes just because we are focusing on other aspects of this great feast, such as the newborn baby in the crib scene, or the Light vs. Darkness theme of this most holy season. The Retreat will be led by Father Marty Nassr, a senior status priest of the Diocese. The retreat starts early Friday evening, February 8, and ends with a closing late morning Mass on Sunday, February 10. The cost for the weekend will be $165.00 for overnight guests and $100.00 for commuters, which includes 4 hot meals and your program materials. For more information about this retreat, please call Brother Tom or Wendy at 419-396-7970 or e-mail at retreats@olcshrine.com or see Our Lady of Consolation Retreat House web site at www. olcshrine.com.
