Padre Pio Prayer Group

Dear Fellow Parish Bulletin Reps:  December is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, which is ordinarily celebrated on December 8, but since it falls on a Sunday, the feast has been transferred to December 9.  The Holy Father’s Intentions for the Month of December, 2019:  For a life of ‘prayer’:  We pray that our personal relationship with Jesus Christ be nourished by the Word of God and a life of prayer. Feasts during the month of December:  Francis Xavier (12/3), Nicholas (12/6), Ambrose (12/7), Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (12/9), Our Lady of Loreto (12/10), Our Lady of Guadalupe (12/12), Lucy (12/13), John of the Cross (12/14), Peter Canisius (12/21), Christmas (12/25), Stephen (12/26), John (12/27), Holy Innocents (12/28), Holy Family (12/29),  “In the natural order she preceded her Divine Child, Our Lord, but in the divine order Jesus, the Divine Son, arose before her, and she received from Him all grace, all purity, and all beautiful.” ~ St. Padre Pio.

We will need volunteers to wrap, shop for, and accept gifts in the East Campus of Saint Joseph school; also, to deliver gifts to Heroes in Action families. All Souls’ Day Special Liturgy: November 2, 2019, 4:30 p.m. All are invited to attend the Special All Souls’ Day Liturgy. This Mass honors all parishioners who have died, with a special remembrance of those parishioners who have died in the past year. Their names will be read and a candle will be lit in their memory.

Dear Fellow Parish Bulletin Reps:  November is dedicated to the Souls in Purgatory, whose feast is celebrated on November 2.  The Holy Father’s intentions for the Month of November, 2019:  Dialogue and Reconciliation in the near East;  That a spirit of dialogue, encounter, and reconciliation emerge in the near East, where diverse religious communities share their lives together.  Feasts during the month of November:  All Saints (11/1), All Souls (11/2), Charles Borromeo (11/4), Martin of Tours: Veterans Day (USA) Memorial (11/11), Josaphat (11/12), Frances Xavier Cabrini (11/13) Albert the Great (11/15), Margaret of Scotland, Gertrude (11/16), Presentation of Mary (11/21), Cecilia (11/22), Bl. Miguel Agustin Pro (11/23), Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe (11/24), Andrew (11/30). The Crucified Christ said to the Italian priest (Padre Pio), “He was lamenting the ingratitude of men, especially those consecrated to him and favored by him”.  How often have we been ungrateful?
