40 Days for Life Campaign Began February 14: Catholic Charities is hosting the ecumenical 40 Days for Life campaign in Northwest Ohio through March 25. You can participate in three ways: prayer and fasting, community outreach and peaceful vigil. Parkland, Fla. – A former student opened fire at a Florida high school

A man was exploring caves by the seashore. In one of the caves, he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. It was like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake. They didn't look like much, but they intrigued the man, so he took the bag out of the cave with him. As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could. 
When people talk about The Salvation Army the first thing that comes to mind is the Red Kettles at Christmas but they are more than that. The Salvation Army is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human need in His name without discrimination. This is what drives the social service aspect of the organization as well as its Sunday services and other spiritual activities offered during the week. All are welcome to attend Sunday services that start at 9:45 am at The Salvation Army, located downtown at 620 N. Erie street.
