“Golf for Heartbeat” Sat, June 29th

ScreenShot029Reservations are now being accepted for the sixth annual “Golf for Heartbeat” Golf Outing planned for Saturday, June 29. The outing gets underway at 8 a.m. at the Bedford Hills Golf Club.

Cost of the outing is $80 per person, $320 per foursome and includes a round of golf in a scrambles format, the cart, lunch, and two drink tickets. Prizes will be awarded to those golfers who are closest to the pin, have the longest drive, longest putt, and more. There’s also a $10,000 hole-in-one prize.

ScreenShot014The Christian Festival Choir and Orchestra is proud to present their 2013 Exaltation concert “Amazing Love, Amazing Grace”@ Springfield High School, 1470 S. McCord Rd. on Saturday April 27 @7p.m. and Sunday April 28 @ 3 p.m. The concert covers a wide spectrum of music including contemporary gospel, traditional hymns, and modern praise and worship songs. Directed by Pat Finnegan and Cortney Shaefer, the members come from many different churches in northwest Ohio and southeastern Michigan.

 

Tickets are available from choir and orchestra members and at the door. Tickets are $12.00 in advance, $14.00 at the door, $10.00 for seniors 60 + and students( K-12). If you choose to donate, we will have boxes in the lobby for nonperishable food donations for the food banks. There will also be signing for the deaf.

Ministry Fair offered at Community of Christ Lutheran Church

 

 

 

Community of Christ Lutheran Church ScreenShot001will offer a Ministry Fair on Sunday, April 21 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM and 11:00 – 12:00 PM. There will be displays for all of the ministry opportunities within the church, as well as ministry partners such as Lutheran Homes Society, the Red Cross, Lutheran Social Services, and the ELCA Northwest Ohio Synod. Refreshments will be offered, as well as crafts and activities for children.

You Can’t Take It With You.

Come see the HS Theater Troupe present this Pulitzer Prize winning comedy from George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. Tickets for the play, which will be presented March 21, 22, and 23 at 7 p.m. each night, will be available for purchase in the athletic office for $8 (adults) and $5 (students) or at the door. Plan to come and see TCS theatre at its finest!

The churches of Waterville……..

……… will be hosting a Community Sunrise Service on Easter Morning, March 31st, at 7 a.m.   The service will be held at Memorial Park behind the old elementary school in Waterville by the river and is lead this year by First Presbyterian Church.  There will be a breakfast after the service at First Presbyterian, 611 Farnsworth Road, Waterville, OH.

Maumee church offers free, grief recovery support group

MAUMEE, Ohio – March 14, 2013, Community members who have experienced the death of a family member or friend are invited to register for the GriefShare program held at First Presbyterian Church of Maumee, 200 E. Broadway Street in Maumee.  The Spring session of the renowned 13-week program takes place each Tuesday’s at 6:00 p.m. through May 21.
