wooden-cross-rfZion Lutheran Church LCMC, 8307 Memorial Highway (Old US 223) Ottawa Lake, Michigan is having its Ash Wednesday Service on Wednesday March 5, 2014 at 7:00 pm.
The following Lenten Services will be on Wednesday March 12, 19, 26, & April  2, 9, 2014 at 7:00 pm.

Thailand dance troupe to perform at Maumee church on Friday March 21st

First Presbyterian Church of Maumee, 200 E. Broadway Street, will host a dance/drama troupe from Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21. The troupe is currently on a nation-wide tour covering several states, including Ohio. The dancers and actors are professional staff members of the Christian Communications Institute (CCI), the evangelistic arm of Payap University.

The Institute was established almost 40- years ago for the purpose of teaching Christian truth through the use of Thai cultural expressions. During the school year these artists lead week-long renewal programs for elementary and secondary students. They teach ethical and spiritual values using music, dance, and drama. Although the Institute’s principal ministry is in Thailand, its performers have presented their art in more than a dozen countries on four continents. Continue reading »

CHRISTIAN FESTIVAL CHOIR SEEKS NEW MEMBERS

 

 

Choir clipartThe Christian Festival Choir invites area singers to join them in preparation for their annual spring concert “Exaltation 2014” in May. Rehearsals are being held every Saturday from 9 a.m to 12 noon at Reformation Lutheran Church, 4543 Douglas Rd.,Toledo. Members come from many churches in Northwest Ohio and Southeastern Mchigan and are being sought for all positions. Film Producer to Speak at Heartbeat Annual Banquet March 26

HeartbeatAward-winning film producer Jason Jones will be the featured speaker at Heartbeat of Toledo’s annual fundraising banquet. The banquet is planned for Wednesday, March 26, 6 p.m. at Premier Banquet Hall, 4480 Heatherdowns in Toledo.
Jones was co-executive producer of Bella, which received the People’s Choice Award at the 2006 Toronto Film Festival. In 2011, Jones co-produced, along with Pattie Mallette, better known as Justin Bieber’s mom, the short-film Crescendo. Continue reading »
