3/18: Group Study on the Book of James Session 4 (Toledo)

We’re living in turbulent times, but James and the Church of the 12 tribes in dispersion were, too.

There is nothing new under the sun!

We’ll see how James addressed the issues of slander and pride within the 1st Century Church. We’ll explore just what biblical pride is and how pride and gossip can divide and destroy the Church.Who were the merchants and rich oppressors James gave warnings to in his letter? We’ll discuss those warnings and how they apply to the Church and it’s members today.
If you’re looking for something to do while the schools and other community events are closed, come and visit us for a session, you’ll be warmly welcomed!

SUNDAY: School 9:30am Worship 10:45am

Ash Wednesday // February 26
Ash Wednesday begins a wonderful season of reflection and preparation
for the coming Lenten season, culminating on Easter Sunday. Ash
Wednesday reminds us of the call to repent, believe, and to accept
the Good News of Jesus Christ, which is the Gospel (Mark 1:15)!
Our lives are busy and filled with so much noise. Perhaps you could use
a little help this Lenten season to turn your eyes upon Jesus and receive
peace despite the uncertainty all around. Not another legalistic set of
rules to follow, but a realization that we are all in dire need of the Savior.
(Romans 3:23). A reminder that our time here on earth is so very short,
and now is the time to put your faith and trust in Jesus (2 Peter 3:9-10).
I want to personally invite you to join me here at CRA for a very
special Ash Wednesday service on February 26 at 6:30 pm. This
will be an evening of deep reflection, scripture reading, and somber
worship as we look within to rediscover the beauty from ashes
because of the wondrous passion of the cross. -Pastor Tim
