Lent is our season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, ancient practices dating back to the Israelites. Vespers is one of the prayers of The Liturgy of the Hours – the public prayer of the Church for praising God and sanctifying the day. All Catholics are called to this prayer – please join us as we give thanks for the blessings of the day!

Today and Beyond An Ecumenical Bereavement Support Group: When we lose a loved one by death, we are wounded. Just as a wound does, we need to heal from within, to express our thoughts and feelings, even when they seem crazy. We need to recognize that “crazy is normal.” The group meets the second Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Christ the King Church, the Parish Center Meeting Room. The next meeting will be February 13, 2018. We welcome people from all walks of life. Contact St. Joseph Representative Ed Ruszkiewicz with any questions at 419-345-1903.

HAVE YOU EVER WISHED TO GO WHERE JESUS LIVED? Fr. Ritter is gathering TWO groups to visit the Holy Land. One trip is scheduled for October 29 to November 9 of this year (2018) and the other is tentatively set for early March 2019. At this time there are still a few places left for each of those trips—but Fr. Please prayerfully consider this possible “pilgrimage of a lifetime”!
