Walk to End Veteran Homelessness
October 24th, 6 p.m.

Walk in the name of a veteran you would like to thank!
They Fought for us. Now We Fight for Them.

“He who gives when he is asked has waited too long.”— Lucius Annaeus Seneca
Please walk with us on October 24th for the 1Mile Matters Walk to End Veteran Homelessness. You will help house more veterans who are living on the streets of our nation.
To date Veterans Matter has housed over 435 (and counting) unhoused veterans nationally including 70+ locally. Many artists have jumped on board including Katy Perry, John Mellencamp, Dusty Hill, Ice-T, Kid Rock, Darius Rucker, Mitch Album and more, all working to raise funds and/or promote our cause.
Our goal is to simply help house as many veterans as we can, as fast as we can. Your support walking, sponsoring or donating will help us do just that.
Ask yourself what is the least you can do to thank our veterans who now need you? Then do just 1 step more.
They put it all on the line for us. Please do something, do anything to help them when they need us most.
The 1Mile Matters Walk to End Veteran Homelessness on Friday, October 24 is the chance to deliver YOUR compassion to house those veterans still on the streets and in the shelters. Please join us.
Again this year the walk starts at Promenade Park and ends at the Civic Center Mall to kick off Tent City. A community dinner and all night entertainment  follow.

About: Veterans Matter seamlessly integrates the VA & HUD with local communities, foundations, corporations and veterans groups to channel their support exclusively, directly and immediately to move local chronically-homeless veterans off the streets and into readily available, permanent, supported housing. Once housed, the VA’s case managers then work individually to return the veteran to domestic autonomy. Because of this partnership, Veterans Matter has a 100% success rate getting the veterans housed!
Locally, Operation Hometown is funded by the Toledo Community Foundation’s Promedica Advocacy Fund and the Lucas County Veterans Services Commission. (Big Props!70+ housed to date!)
